THINGS TO DO

We are working on this page but here is something in the meantime ....

  • The Great Barrier Reef:
The Great Barrier Reef was selected as a World Heritage Site in 1981. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system in the world and stretches for 2,600 kilometres (total area 344,400 square kilometres) and is also the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms. A couple of interesting facts right there. Imagine the fish and other sea creatures you can see! A day out on the reef is like snorkeling in an aquarium... There are day trips to the outer reef or Low Isles. Talk to us to narrow down your options.

  • The Daintree Rainforest:
The tropical rainforest ecosystem of the Daintree Rainforest is one of the most complex on earth. Its plant diversity and structural complexity is unrivalled on the Australian continent. The Daintree rainforest is home to  approximately 430 species of birds, primitive flowering plants, rare and endangered species, including the Southern Cassowary and Bennett's Tree-kangaroo. Pretty impressive and needs a tick on your bucket list as well. We have self-drive maps or information on tours to the Daintree.
